Brandon Gibbs may actually not mind his wife, Julia Trubkina’s more unconventional lifestyle despite what he says on the show. Brandon and Julia first appeared in 90 Day Fiancé season 8.

Brandon had met Julia while she worked as a go-go dancer in Russia. Brandon would wish to marry her and bring her to the United States to live on his parent’s farm.

The couple would eventually tie the knot in April of 2020. However, Brandon wished for Julia to start acting more like a traditional wife. This included dressing more modestly and having children with him.

But Julia is a lot more outgoing than Brandon and refuses to have a child with him. This resulted in the two having intimacy issues and disagreements that led to their appearance on The Last Resort for couples therapy.

90 Day Fiancé: Brandon’s Criticism Against Julia on The Last Resort

Brandon would repeatedly criticize Julia for acting outside of what he envisions as a wife. On The Last Resort season 2, Brandon dislikes how Julia dressed at a bar in episode 3. She would also begin to dance on top of the bar table. Brandon would try to stop Julia repeatedly.

“I want to be married to someone who’s trying to be a mom, not a **** stripper.” Brandon has also made similar statements during the season 2 trailer. When talking about their finances, Brandon tells Julia, “So why stop there, why don’t you go do porn?”

90 Day Fiancé: Brandon & Julia’s Current Relationship Status

Despite Brandon’s multiple complaints about Julia not being the wife he wants for himself, the two seem to be doing quite well after therapy. In September of 2024, the two went on a trip throughout Europe as seen on Julia’s Instagram. They look to be relatively happy together.

While this may have changed during Christmas with Julia looking to spend it alone, this could’ve also been a way to keep their status vague. After all, both Brandon and Julia must keep up with their NDAs until their season ends.

90 Day Fiancé: Julia’s OnlyFans

One of the most interesting parts about Brandon’s opinion of Julia is the fact that she runs an OnlyFans! A lot of the stars on 90 Day Fiancé run an OnlyFans page. However, considering Brandon’s opinions, he would seem like the type to not want his wife to have one. She even advertises “private dances” on her page as well.

It’s possible that Julia’s OnlyFans could be what Brandon was referring to in The Last Resort trailer. We might learn more about Brandon’s true feelings on her account later down the season.

It would even explain why he would bring up “doing porn” when talking about their finances. Julia’s OnlyFans charges $14.99 a month, so maybe she started it as a way to support themselves.

Even if Brandon speaks about Julia’s OnlyFans on the show, it looks like nothing has changed since then. The couple still show no signs of having a child anytime soon. Julia also continues to post and advertise her OnlyFans as well.

It brings into question whether Brandon actually is this critical of Julia’s lifestyle, or if he just hammed it up for the show. There is evidence of Gino and Jasmine not even being together while on The Last Resort, so it’s possible. We’ll just have to see how Brandon “works out” his opinions on his wife in future episodes.
