Past 90 Day Fiancé star Leida Margaretha has spoken up against her ex-husband and charges of animal abuse amidst her arrest charges. Leida from Indonesia and Eric from Wisconsin decided to marry just two days after meeting in person. However, their relationship was incredibly rocky with multiple disagreements and outbursts on Leida’s part. Things got so bad that Leida would even kick Eric’s daughter out of his house.

After the couple married and left the show, their troubles didn’t end there. Leida would accuse Eric of being physically abusive against her. This included photos of bruising allegedly caused by him on her Instagram stories. This alleged abuse is what caused Leida to try divorcing him in February of 2024. Now, Leida faces charges of fraud, theft, violence with a weapon, and animal abuse. However, Leida has a few things to say before her arrest.

Leida’s Response to Her Arrest Charges

Leida posted several stories on January 28th, 2025 attempting to debunk the charges made against her. In the stories, Leida accuses the charges of being weighed against her due to being an immigrant. She also explains where the restraining order made against her allegedly came from. “…from accusing me to steal then false restraining order because of a simple bad review on Google to this accusation of abusing own dog!”

In the majority of the stories, Leida describes how Eric is the true abuser in the situation. She goes on to show off several photos of her bruisings and items broken from their fights. “I hate being stuck with him. He knows this as he keeps refusing for a divorce.” Leida accuses the justice system of protecting Eric and blames viewers for not immediately believing her. “What happen with “believe every women?”

Reddit user u/Thin-Source-3336 helpfully reposted screenshots of Leida’s stories for all 90 Day fans to see. Fans commenting on the posts share the belief that Eric and Leida likely abused each other. The top comment by u/JessicaWakefield666 states, “Glad to see a couple of comments already that acknowledge Leida can be a total POS but also Eric can have physically abused her. These two things can exist at the same time. We will likely never know the full story.” The rest of the comments share a similar sentiment, recognizing that Leida is not a fully believable party either.

What Leida’s Statements Mean Amidst Her Ongoing Charge

It’s a far more likely possibility that Eric and Leida were allegedly physically abusive towards each other. Considering the bruises and damage to items Leida posted multiple times in the past, it all seems to connect. However, Leida is not completely innocent. There was still evidence of at least her fraud charges. There is also still not so much information about the restraining order made against her.

When it comes to Leida’s abuse against her dog, she posted a video to try and debunk the charge. However, Leida can post a past video of her dog to cover up proof. There is also little detail on what kind of abuse Leida allegedly inflicted on the dog. Considering how much information is spilling quickly about Leida’s case, we expect to see more very soon.
