90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days stars Veah Netherton and Sunny Mahdi are having major beef online after Veah’s marriage to another man was revealed. The couple met and dated long-distance before deciding to meet in South Africa for the first time. There, the pair planned to become engaged to one another, but certain conflicts got in the way. Veah would bring her ex-boyfriend along in secret spawning a huge fight between the couple. There was also massive pressure for Veah to convert to Islam from Sunny and his father.

Despite all of the conflicts, Sunny still insisted on marrying Veah and proposed to her. While the pair made it seem like they had resolved most of their issues on the Tell All, that wouldn’t be the case online. Not only did Veah allegedly pay for the engagement ring she was proposed with, but Sunny made claims of Veah potentially opening a GoFundMe page. Now, after news of Veah’s marriage to her dogsitter who Sunny was jealous of was announced, he has lots to say about his ex-fiancé.

Sunny’s Accusations Against Veah

February 3rd, 2025, Sunny posted several stories allegedly exposing Veah’s “lies.” “Social media was never my platform for making drama or chasing attention…But now it’s getting out of hand. [S]he’s out here telling everyone lies and spreading nonsense.” Sunny claims that he wants to tell the truth about what Veah has been telling fans now that their season is over.

 

Sunny accuses Veah of lying about her sending money to him and being a physical therapist. “I paid for everything. And I even bought the ring before she even stepped foot here in South Africa.” According to Sunny, he paid for the engagement ring and Veah’s plane ticket. He claims that Veah lied about sending money to make a “juicy story” for TV. He also claims that she “didn’t work” at all.

Veah’s Response

The next day, February 4th, 2025, Veah releases her response to Sunny’s claims in her story. In her first post, Veah claims that Sunny threatened her reputation. “…I was warned if I didn’t bring him to America, he would do everything to try and destroy my image.” Veah also clarifies that Sunny did buy her plane ticket but that he was “paid back” by the show.

When speaking about her ring, Veah attempts to debunk what Sunny says by claiming that he photoshopped the images. “…that ring is not even the same color as my ring.”

Veah then goes on to say that she did work full-time while with Sunny and saved her money. She also claims to have not raised many if any problems with Sunny to the internet. “…I have never said anything bad about Sunny on the internet[.] I kept all out struggles very low key.” Veah goes on to say that she never wanted to spread her drama online, but Sunny already has despite their relationship being long over.

Our Thoughts on Sunny & Veah’s Drama

Veah has a point when it comes to not really sharing anything bad about Sunny. When she spoke about sending money to him, her message didn’t read as something with malicious intent. Also, Sunny’s known jealousy should be kept in mind. Despite having broken up, Sunny was very jealous and upset about Veah possibly moving on before. To see her married to a new man recently may have been what caused these accusations to spawn out of nowhere.
