đ„č END OF AN ERA: BECKYâS FATE FINALLY REVEALED AS THE ICONIC SAGA IS DECLARED “OVER”! I canât believe itâs actually happening. đ After all the drama, the heartbreaks, and the wild rides, the story of our beloved Becky has reached its final chapter. The rumors have been confirmed, and honestly, Iâm not okay! â ïžđ„
Coronation Street closes a chaotic chapter tonight as the fate of Becky Swain is finally revealed. After being brought to justice over her many crimes, Becky seems to be facing a very bleak future behind bars â but does she bring anyone down with her?
Becky was finally caught out in the Corriedale crossover special last Monday (5 January) following months of scheming, which had pushed Lisa Swain and Carla Connorâs relationship to breaking point.
Late last week, Becky revealed that she still wasnât done, even though she was locked away in prison to await sentencing. When Lisa visited her at the jail for one last showdown, Becky twisted the knife by threatening to implicate her in the police corruption scandal when she spoke in court.
âI can make you look like an accessory and a lot more besides,â Becky warned. âHow do you think we paid off the mortgage in double-quick time? See, you didnât ask any questions, because you didnât want to know the answers.â

In tonightâs episode, Lisa and Beckyâs daughter Betsy dramatically intervenes after hearing whatâs going on. She pays her own visit to Becky in jail and issues some harsh home truths â admitting that she wishes her spiteful mum had died for real.
Afterwards, Betsy fears that sheâs made things worse, believing that her outburst will only make Becky even more vindictive. But when Lisa heads for a catch-up meeting with DI Thompson â her boss at work â thereâs an unexpected outcome. Has Betsyâs outburst inspired Becky to take a long hard look at herself?
âThe hearingâs over,â Thompson explains to Lisa. âShe got 12 years. And as far as I know, your name wasnât mentioned, which I guess is the good news.
âAnd the not-so-good news, youâre being placed on restricted duties while thereâs an internal investigation. We both know that could have been a lot worse.
âListen, from what I hear, youâre a good cop. Keep your head down and soon youâll be able to put this whole chapter behind you.â

Later, Lisa catches up with Betsy at home and shares similar reassurances that theyâve finally heard the last of Becky.
âItâs over,â Lisa confirms. âShe got 12 years. So we donât ever have to see her again.â
With Becky out of the picture, Lisa and Carla are free to concentrate on working out their own future â how long will it take for them to reunite?
