Willow Makes an Eerie Threat Against Nina — Plus, Emma and Gio Grow Closer While Searching for Outback
Gio and Emma are at The Brown Dog, taking a break from hanging up fliers about Outback. Gio suggests a reward for the dog may help, and Emma says Tracy would likely put the money up if he asked. Gio refuses to ask Tracy or the Qs, saying he’ll ask his Grandpa Sonny. He thinks Tracy has changed towards him now that she is his great-grandmother. Just then, Emma gets a call about Outback, so she and Gio rush out.
They return soon, and it turns out the person who called only found the dog’s collar. Emma begins to fear the worst, and Outback isn’t chipped and that’s her fault. She cries, as the dog could be at a kill shelter right now. She blames herself for screwing this up, and that Outback may have run away initially to try to find her.
Where Is Ric, Again?
Also at the bar, Liz meets Molly for drinks. Molly gets right to the point, asking if she heard from her dad. Liz tells her about the email from him about his digital detox. Molly thinks her dad needs time to think about his priorities, which include Ava. She knows Ava and her dad broke up, and it’s because of her sister. Molly fills Liz in on Kristina and Cody’s plan to break up Ric and Ava, sending her dad running back to Liz. Liz makes it clear she is only friends with her father, and they won’t be anything more. Molly says she’s still a good influence on her dad.
At Ava’s place, Kristina informs Ava that Liz has responded to their email and accepted their explanation about the digital detox. Kristina worries Liz could eventually try and track him down. Ava assumes Liz won’t go looking for Ric or answers soon, especially after speaking with Willow. She explains that “Ric” made a mistake in sending his bill to Nina for representing Willow, and he put Willow on BCC. Willow believes Ric is representing her pro bono, and Liz does too, and she will soon see what a creep Ric still is. Kristina likes it, but asks, “Isn’t Nina your friend?”
Ava says sacrifices have to be made to get what you want, including making a deal with the devil. That’s when Lucas enters and immediately wonders why Kristina is here, given their history. Kristina says she was just discussing spending time with Avery and rushes out.
Lucas grabs a drink and tells his aunt it’s been a day, and fills her in on the fact that Britt Westbourne is alive and back in town. Lucas tells his aunt how much Britt meant to Brad, and his ex would call him up often after Britt died and try to pressure him into meeting. But he wonders what if Brad knew that Britt was alive and was using fake grief to try to get him back.
Nina Tells Willow the Truth She Won’t Face
Willow drops by to see Nina and needs her help because there is an issue with her lawyer. Willow tells Nina about the email she got from Ric, who is leaving town for a month to do a digital detox. Nina is stunned as her hearing is next month. Willow assumes she knew about this, as Nina hired Ric to represent her.
Nina is forced to admit she did, and Willow explains how she found out. Nina tells Willow that she needed a shark of a lawyer, and she can’t afford someone like Ric on her salary. Nina says she can be angry with her, but she wanted to help her get her children back. Willow wonders if Ric’s warning to her to stay away from Drew came from Ric or her.
Nina admits she pushed Ric to advise her to stay away from Drew, as he’s the reason she lost her children, and no Drew was one of Michael’s original conditions. Willow lashes out that Nina wants to control her and isn’t in charge of her life. Nina yells, “Neither are you, wake up! Drew is calling all the shots because you keep letting him!”
Nina lets it all out, telling Willow that she blames her for losing her kids, when in reality, she needs to look at her own actions. Even if she had told Willow about sleeping with Drew from the start, Willow likely wouldn’t have believed her, as she’s been so bamboozled by Drew. Nina screams that Willow could find a freezer full of heads in Drew’s basement, and would make excuses for him. Willow insists she sees Drew for who he is now and is only doing this to get her kids back, as Drew has power and influence. Nina says, “Over you! Why can’t you see it!” Willow tells her mom that if she’s given up control of her life to Drew, Nina stood by and watched her do it!
Lulu Opens Up to Brook Lynn
At Maxie’s, Brook Lynn and Lulu are still working together for the sake of Maxie’s kids. Lulu tells Brook Lynn about Britt’s resurrection, what happened earlier at the hospital, and now Rocco wants to see her. As angry as she was about Brook Lynn’s part in Rocco finding out about Britt, Brook Lynn was right, and all she did was move up the inevitable. Now Rocco is more curious about Britt than ever.
Lulu fears Rocco could get hurt by Britt, especially if she rejects him. She also knows that if she tries to keep Rocco from Britt, she looks like the bad guy.
Will Britt Accept Jason’s Help?
On the pier, Britt tells Jason she made it clear to stay away from her. Jason insists he wasn’t looking for her, and explains that Danny and Rocco found a dead body in the water here two days ago. Britt comments that Rocco is a stupid name, and he’ll always be Ben to her. She asks Jason about Rocco and what he’s like. Jason tells her what he knows about Rocco since he’s been living at the Qs. Britt says Rocco seems like a good kid, nothing like her, but she isn’t related to him, she was just the surrogate who stole him.
Britt wipes away tears, having become emotional talking about Rocco. She asks why Jason’s not at home with his son. Jason is heading home now and wants to take her to where she’s staying first, not wanting to leave her alone out here. He quickly guesses she has no place to go.
Britt explains her mom wasn’t exactly happy to see her, and she’ll figure something out. Jason says she still has a friend in him, even if she doesn’t think so. He says he’ll find her a place to stay and won’t take no for an answer. She agrees to his help this once.
How Does Cody Help James?
At the Qs, Felicia brings James to see Cody, as he had a nightmare and needed to talk to his uncle. James explains he dreamt he couldn’t find his mom. Also, the boy feels he’s the reason his mom isn’t waking up. He explains that when he broke his arm, his mom said he nearly gave her heart failure, and now her heart is sick. Cody and Felicia insist this isn’t his fault.
Cody proposes an adventure for James to lift his spirits, and he thinks he’s grown big enough to ride Comet. Felicia gives her approval. Cody and James spit-shake on it.
Later, Kristina arrives to see Cody, and wants to know how things are between him and Molly. Cody relays that Molly told him not to call her unless it was an emergency. Kristina believes that means she still cares about him. Cody says Molly made it clear that she doesn’t want to hear from him, so he’s going to leave her alone. He asks her to find her way out so he can check on the horses.
In the Show’s Final Moments
Brook Lynn tells Lulu that meeting Britt might hurt Rocco, but he will be fine because he knows he has Lulu and Dante to count on. She offers to step up at Maxie’s more since Rocco needs his mom right now.
At the bar, Gio wipes Emma’s tears, and they come close to kissing, but don’t. Gio refuses to believe she’s given up on Outback. She says he’s right, and they resume searching for the dog.
At the stables, Cody grabs a beer to go with his sandwich. He turns around and finds that Outback has appeared, stolen his sandwich, and is chowing down on it.
At home, Lucas tells his aunt that Brad is in the past, and he’s moving on with Marco. Ava asks how long he thinks Brad will stay away, given that Britt is back.
Back at the bar, Molly believes her dad wouldn’t have changed if not for Liz’s influence. Liz thinks he is trying to make better choices and brings up Ric taking Willow’s case pro bono.
Finally, Nina tells Willow that people always tell her she only cares about what she wants and doesn’t take responsibility. Well, like mother, like daughter! Willow fumes she’s nothing like her! Willow says Nina’s secrets and lies have taken everything from her, and maybe someone should do the same to Nina! Willow storms out.
